Innovative Lebanon Firm Shark-Co Manufacturing Announces Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting

Lebanon, Indiana – The public is invited to join Mayor Matt Gentry for the ribbon cutting and grand opening of the new headquarters of innovative Lebanon firm, Shark-Co Manufacturing, on Monday, December 11 from 4:00-6:00 PM. The event will be held at Shark-Co Manufacturing’s newly remodeled office and fabrication facility at 1231 Indianapolis Avenue in Lebanon and is sponsored by the Boone County Economic Development Corporation and the Boone County Chamber of Commerce.

Shark-Co Manufacturing produces computer-designed, fully customizable, foam products to organize and protect everything from tools and ambulance supplies to auto parts. “We can fabricate products for nearly any item a customer brings to us,” says Shark-Co Manufacturing owner, Monica Sharkey. “We use 3D CAD systems to precisely model a client’s items, then mill perfectly matched protection and storage spaces for them out of tough, polyethylene closed cell foam.”

Co-owner Jason Sharkey emphasizes the immediate return on investment Shark-Co’s clients see. “Some of our clients need a way to keep track of consumable items, such as medical supplies in an ambulance. Our clients tell us that they have been able to recoup the cost of the system in just a few months through a reduction in waste and breakage.” Clients in manufacturing settings find that Shark-Co Manufacturing’s reusable transport solutions for fragile parts reduce the landfill waste of disposable dunnage and provide superior parts protection.

Monica and Jason founded Shark-Co Manufacturing in their Lebanon garage in 2016. They moved the company into their new headquarters as their business quickly expanded. Already, Shark-Co Manufacturing has an impressive client base including a major sports car company; manufacturers of firearms and firearms accessories; IndyCar; EMS, fire, and police departments in the Midwest and Southern California; and several manufacturing companies. The couple sees a bright future for Shark-Co Manufacturing. According to Monica, “Every time we show our product to someone, they come up with a new application for it. We have plenty of room for growth.”

Shark-Co Manufacturing is a woman-owned, veteran-friendly company and is proud to manufacture its products in the USA using materials from the USA.
